Duke Law Graduation 2021 | Garmai Gorlorwulu '21
Garmai Gorlorwulu '21 addressed the JD Class of 2021 at the Duke Law Convocation Ceremony held on May 15, 2021 in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Garmai is from Portland, Oregon, by way of Liberia, and graduated from Stanford University with a degree in human biology with a concentration in African conflict, development, and health. At Duke, she served as the co-chair of the Womxn of Color Collective and the Coalition Against Gendered Violence. She was the special projects editor for the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law & Public Policy and was on the board of the Black Law Students Association and First Generation Professionals (1GP). After graduation, Garmai will join the Portland office of Perkins Coie.
