White Collar Crime Seminar 2007
A half-day conference on the prosecution and sentencing of white collar crimes. The seminar includes three sessions: The Honorable Carl Horn III, U.S. Magistrate Judge, Western District of North Carolina, speaks on recent developments in white collar crime; a panel discussion involving Nelson Mullin attorneys as well as Josh Howard, Deputy Criminal Chief of Economic Crime in the Eastern District of North Carolina focuses on legal and ethical issues facing attorneys who represent the corporate client; and a roundtable discussion entitled "Lessons We Have Learned," moderated by Professor Robinson O. Everett, features Senior Warden Arthur Beeler, Jr. of the Butner, N.C., Federal Correctional Complex and two individuals who served sentences there for white collar crime.
