Duke Law faculty respond to N.C. law limiting LGBT protections
After North Carolina’s state legislature passed the controversial HB 2 law in March, faculty members were frequently called on by media to explain the law, its ramifications, and the viability of lawsuits filed over the law by the federal government and North Carolina. N.C. HB 2, the "Public Facilities Privacy & Security Act," prohibits local municipalities in North Carolina from passing anti-discrimination ordinances and strips existing protections from LGBT citizens.
